The Love Novels and Romance
Have you noticed how all the love novels tend to end when the main characters get together? Isn’t it exactly when romance starts? I want to explore the scary thing that happens after that, the perfect moment no one ever writes about. Why do we dream of love so much? What does it look like when it’s mutual?
Two in Paris
Romance is a concept that best vibes with Paris. I imagine I am with my Lord in a sweet, street cafe, with tables outside in the sun, with cats roaming and a bouquet of flowers, and the best view in the city. We are delighting in croissants and hot chocolate. My eyes are filled with his masculine presence. I am beyond my comfort zone, in the best possible way – that is, I feel happier than usual. Our gazes click. I touch the brim of the cup with my lips, my glance fixed on the level of his lips, as he is talking. His voice turns me on. Everything in him turns me on. I am beyond on. We can touch our hands above the table, but that’s the only polite form of physical contact. I want to sit on his lap so much!
The conversation flows, as he is smart and generous with his attention. The smell of coffee makes me feel high. As I am sensitive, I soak in the details of our encounter, everything that arouses the senses, and I am beyond on. Forever, I have dreamt to gaze into his beautiful eyes like this, to feel close to him, to speak to him about anything, and to laugh like that. Tears from laughter are rolling down my cheeks. He makes me feel at ease, so the communication flows effortlessly, and it doesn’t matter what we are talking about; we are crying and laughing the entire time, and we are so emotional. That’s the spark!
The Perfection of this Moment
The perfection of this moment is unique. Our souls blend in such a manner that any viewer would cry from sympathy. It’s like a beautiful dance, we click, our spirits click without an effort. Now, the entire view, everything around us disappears, it’s only me and him, and whatever the circumstances, we are joined in a perfect, sublime union. We can talk, and reveal ourselves, and strip our souls, and just be in this moment together. That’s what we have dreamt of, and it is finally realized. From now on, it can only get better.
The Circumstances which Fuel the Romance
For it will rain in Paris, and he will cover me with his jacket. The earth won’t stay still, and he will hold my hand and tell me it’s soon going to end. I may falter to the side, but he will pick me up before I fall. And even if it doesn’t rain and nothing ever hurts us, we will forgive each other the imperfections. That’s the essence of romance. The journey that starts is better than the flirt. We are going to get used to each other. I will feel comfortable with him. We will kiss each other first thing in the morning. Behold, we will never take each other for granted! We will keep our promises. We will return to Paris.
Or he will take me by the hand and we will go to Moscow, to the Ferris Wheel in London, to Petra in Jordan. We will amuse each other with stories, and when all the stories are told, we are going to create new ones. Everything will make sense, but in a different way. For when there is someone close to you, you develop a different kind of sensitivity. Your soul vibes with his soul, and you commence a beautiful, eternal dance.
Rest from Romance
But of course, you can not dance the entire time. You will need a rest. Time for you to get creative and time for your self-care. Time to start missing him, because he is going to be on his own journey. Of course, you will keep in touch. He’s going to send you a postcard from heaven. You will expect your next union with affection. You are going to harvest new stories to tell each other. Both of you may raise offspring together. You will need problems to spice it up; you are going to have problems.
That’s love beyond the spark. You care so much about this person, it is hard to word it. At all times, you try hard to provide his comfort zone. You cook foreign meals for him to try, and you go to events together. Both of you develop the need to care for each other. You are able to take blows from fate together. It is enough to feel his presence around you, to feel his gaze upon you, and you blossom.
And they lived happily ever after!
