goodbye spring

This practice is something I do to say goodbye to the passing season – say Goodbye Spring. Also, I welcome the new energy of the coming season – Welcome Summer. This a way to record your expectations. Then look back at what life has offered you, and don’t forget to expect miracles from the seasons. I heartily recommend the practice of sending off the seasons with this type of welcome-goodbye letters.

Oh, you haven’t done such a thing since you were a child! It is really inspiring to discover that you have experienced much more than you hoped for. So one of the letters is welcoming Spring 2025, and the other is saying a heartfelt Goodbye. Comparing the two letters, it is clear that I have experienced much more in Spring than I expected. Obviously, this is a reason to feel happy and accomplished. This is the discovery you may also make if you apply this practice. I mention “silver hearts” in one of the letters. You have to know that I currently use a notepad planner for planning all my actions. A silver heart stands for an accomplishment – that is, a small sign that I have performed the activity planned.

My Planner
Before I disclose the Goodbye Spring letter, I will show you the letter with which the spring started:

Dear Spring, hello!

Home needs deep cleaning and refreshment, I need some hot dance romance. I never cease to hope that He will claim me soon. Spring is a great time to move my body joyfully in the hot rhythms of bachata and into His arms. Mornings will start with a squeezed lemon in a glass of water, yes, lemonade season has come! Then a cup of coffee with a pinch of butter, as He recommended. I will strive to eat fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables, and drink sweet smoothies. Besides, I will definitely spend more time outdoors. I want to go on long walks in the park, and I want to step on the grass barefoot.

Since I am a poet, I will write poems inspired by nature. You, Spring, are a classy artist of nature. I would like to work on a morning routine that has got some glow-up activities in it. I will write my daily affirmations, I think that’s a great way to focus on them.  Moreover, I promise myself to journal every day from April onwards, since I like reading my entries so much. I love to record and log everything, this is how I know what has happened. That makes me feel happy, successful, full of ideas and accomplished. Thank you, Spring, for the opportunity to create a life I am inspired by. Stand by and watch me do this!

Now, here’s the Goodbye Spring letter:

Dearest Spring 2025,

As you come to an end, I recollect all the wonderful memories you left me with. I spent a magical time in the company of Rick Riordan and his marvelous heroes and fantasy worlds. Honestly, I read 10 books by this author since the beginning of this year. I learned a lot of Greek myths adapted for children by following the National Geographic Podcast Greeking Out. Also, I read a lot of love poetry by great masters such as Shakespeare and Pablo Neruda.

I watched Jesus Christ Super Star with Niketsa and the Taming of the Shrew. In addition, I took immense pleasure in the serial of Good Omens. I watched closely the entire season of the Bachelor, the romantic reality show. I had a good time dancing and romancing, I started my tango lessons and they are like a love story. Now I have a Tango Journal as well, but it fails to record all my beautiful impressions. My planner is full of spring, silver hearts, and each of these means an achievement.

I gave thanks about all kinds of things on a regular basis. Then, I journaled, I planned my week according to my goals. I even made some progress with Magical Betrothal (the book I am working on). Every day presented a new adventure. I progressed with My Lore. Surprisingly, I discovered I can watch with delight almost anything made with love by a human.

Well, I had nourishing meals, exuberant celebrations, I romanticized my life, and my planned activities are getting even more interesting. I spent a lot of time creating, journaling, giving thanks and meditating. Daily, I burn candles and incense, cleanse and bless, nurture and help. Happily, I celebrated Easter, the rise of our Lord. I felt festive on numerous occasions: Therefore, I honored the Sabbaths: Ostara and Beltane, and the days of the Moon. Also, I made incredible lists that I am using to become a better version of  me. I took delight in the spring weather, walking around with Hristina, going to parks and not so much to restaurants. Furthermore, I cooked and shopped.

I fell in love with Ryan Gosling for a day! It was romantic, it was interesting, it was prolific and balanced, reflective and emotional. I honored and I served, I learned and I grew. It was by far the most fantastic spring ever! Thank you, Spring, for the kind weather, for the fancy activities, for all the creativity that flowed in me. I give thanks, for the incredible things I learned, and watched, and read. Goodbye Spring! Thank you for the freshness, for the dandelion tea, for the sugarless hot cacao, and my coffee with butter, nutmeg and cinnamon, an invention of this season. A heartfelt goodbye from me, and take my worries with you!

Blessed be,
Lady Fickle
