Freddie Is Not Quite The Shilling

“When I am dead who cares? I don’t!” – says Freddie Mercury and sucks on his cigar.

“One dream, one soul” – Freddie is of the most beloved rock stars of last century. His music truly is “a kind of magic.” Other entertainers love him! People call him “larger than life,” fresh, cool, hedonistic, completely hedonistic. A God who walks among us humans – Freddie claims:

“I am as gay as a daffodil, dear!”

The truth is he is magically different from any other performer in the world. People who know him say he used to be shy. However, he enjoyed life immensely and took the most of it at all times and often said: “If I am dead tomorrow, I wouldn’t care!”

Years ago Freddie gave his last interview on television, and everybody knew that he is dying from AIDS. My father said:

“Look at this man! The entire world loves him and no one can save him!”

To anyone who knew him, he was a complete genius.

He started his career by singing with his friends.

He is an incredibly powerful singer. He gives you goose-flesh all over your body. Montserrat Caballe, the great opera singer, who collaborated with Freddie on the project “Barcelona”, says that the difference between Freddie and almost all the other rock stars is that he loves having a voice. His voice sounded to Robbie Williams like a machine gun.

When people asked Freddie what Bohemian Rhapsody is about, he said he didn’t know. He sings amazing stuff. He sings about being a sex machine ready to reload. He sings his love is dangerous. He sings about one thousand and one yellow daffodils, dancing in front of you – he sings he is simply not in the pink.

He completely steals the show. He even says “I am not going to be a rock star. I am going to be a legend!” Well, a legend he is! He drove the crowds insane.

I know that I can speak about writing until I annoy even the most patient person. It obviously is more than a passion to me. Dean Kansky said: "You know, the Greeks didn't write obituaries. They only asked one thing after a man died: "Did he have passion?"
